A CYCLIST suffered serious head and chest injuries after veering off the road.
Around 12.50pm yesterday, the 61-year-old man was cycling along the B789 Main Road, Langbank, when the bike appeared to lose control.
It veered off the road causing him to suffer serious injuries.

He was found by members of the public who contacted emergency services.
The man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
Medics have described his condition as serious but stable.

The road was closed for several hours as officers examined the scene.
Sergeant Kenneth Malaney from Road Policing is appealing for anyone who was travelling along the B789 around the time of the incident who may have seen or witnessed anything to contact officers.
He said: "If anyone was travelling along and has a dash cam, I would ask you to check it as you may have captured images which could assist our investigaiton.
