A desperate search has been launched for a Stockton man who failed to return home after travelling to Glasgow on Wednesday.

Thomas Meharry was last seen in Edinburgh on June 28 at around 11pm, after he was dropped off at Glasgow Central station earlier that day.

It is thought that he was trying to make his way home to Stockton, but his family haven't heard from him.

His cousin, Andy, has appealed online for information about his whereabouts.

He wrote: "He got dropped off at Glasgow Central at 10:20 on Friday morning and was due to travel home to Middlesbrough but never showed up.

"His girlfriend last heard from him around 4 o’clock on Friday saying he wasn’t feeling well and was going to try to go to hospital but had not been to any hospital as police have checked."

He recently joined as a drummer in The Wolcott Band, and his fellow members have appealed to Scots to aid his safe return.

They wrote: "Our new drummer Tommy went to Glasgow on Wednesday and hasn't been seen since Friday - please share, especially our friends in Scotland!"

Thomas has a distinctive 'Pennywise' tattoo from the film IT on the back of his next and a Thomas tattoo down his left arm.

He is 5ft 11 tall, bald with a pale complexion and may have been wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black crosshatch jacket.
