Man due in court after alleged sword incident on busy A73 road in Lanarkshire
A MAN is due to appear in Lanark Sheriff Court after he was allegedly caught brandishing a sword.
We reported yesterday how police raced to the A73 near Broadlees Cottage in Biggar. The incident happened before noon and worried locals raised the alarm.

Specialist teams from the armed response and dog units as well as the force's helicopter were also sent to the scene.
Police confirmed today that they have charged a 33-year-old man who is expected to appear in court later.
