Police confirmed that motorists can now use the A77 between Kilmarnock and Ayr.
The force, however, warned that some local roads in Ayrshire remain affected by flooding or surface water.
They urged motorists to drive with care.

Last night we reported that the road was completely flooded forcing the closure to southbound traffic.
The northbound side was passable with care, but queues built up as vehicles drove slowly through deep water.
Police also warned that the heavy rain made driving conditions dangerous across many roads.
