CELTIC legend Chris Sutton has publically hit out AGAIN at internet trolls who reacted to him calling in the cops after his daughter was left upset over targeted abuse towards him.

The former footballer revealed in a second tweet last night that his private number was in fact used, and his daughter was receiving telephone calls and text messages from vile trolls who had targeted her famous father.

We revealed yesterday that father-of-five Sutton had given the youngster his telephone - which she took to a sleepover. He said he was calling the police after seeing how upset his daughter was when she received the abuse.

In a tweet, he said: "To all the people sending abusive messages. My daughter who is seven had my phone at a sleepover last night.

"She has my phone regularly and was called all night. She is very upset.

"I will be sending photos of the culprits out and passing your details onto the police."

Sutton, however, caused a storm on Twitter following this message, and last night he publically called out at those users on the social media website who he claimed attempted to justify what had happened.

He said: "Much justification that it’s ok to share people’s private details and call, harass and abuse.

"I’m entitled to let my children use my phone and I don’t expect through WhatsApp, text or calls for my family to be abused on a private number!

"Call me what you like on Twitter."

The 46-year-old played for Celtic from 2000 to 2006. Since leaving the club, he has gone on to become a successful TV pundit for BT Sport.
