Two police officers have been attacked while arresting a man for an assault on two members of the public.
Cops were called to Main Street in Thornliebank in the early hours of Sunday morning to reports of an assault on two people by a 22-year-old man.
While arresting the male, the two officers were subsequently assaulted by the offender.

Police Scotland have confirmed the man has now been successfully arrested, and the officers involved did not sustain any injuries.
The 22-year-old is due to appear in court today.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the incident to The Evening Times.
