POLICE have urged residents to close their windows following reports of a chemical spill.
Cops and fire crews rushed to Crossgates in Belshill this morning to contain the incident.

There is no longer any risk to the public but those living nearby have been told to keep their windows closed for the rest of the day as a precaution.
Roads surrounding the site, which had been closed, have since reopened.
